To test a car fuse, you can perform a visual inspection or use a multimeter to check for continuity or voltage. Visually, a blown fuse will have a broken or burnt internal wire. With a multimeter, set it to the ohm or continuity setting and check the resistance between the two metal contact points. A good fuse will show a low resistance, while a blown fuse will have infinite resistance. Alternatively, with the power on, touch the probes to each side of the fuse to see if voltage is present on both, indicating it’s good.
